An amateur cameraman is also one who would get into a contract with a party in lieu of a particular amount or a prize money on completion of certain task through camera. Photographer is also categorized on the basis of his subject i.e. the kind of photo he takes. For example he may take image of a landscape, portrait etc. Another category comprises of the cameramen who take different genres of photo such as wildlife photography, modelling or fashioned photography etc. Thus, the class of each photographer varies on account of his field of interest.

He also enjoys the right to maintain the limit to which his photograph should be used. In addition, he gets a royalty charge from different companies.
